Doctoral theses at IFP Energies Nouvelles
IFP Energies nouvelles, a French public research organization, hosts around 150 PhD students in its laboratories.
Every year, several dozens of new doctoral thesis topics are proposed.
These new PhD subjects, as well as thoses in progress, are listed on this site.

The new PhD subjects
The list of new subjects is published at the beginning of the year, and theses generally start at the beginning of November.
Most of our theses are carried out at our Rueil-Malmaison and Lyon sites, but a few are carried out in partner laboratories.
Development of a deep and active learning approach in the real fluid modeling (RFM) framework - Application to NH3-H2 injection and mixing LES simulations
Development of a LES combustion model for NH3/H2/air flames accounting for preferential diffusion and high Karlovitz regime coupled to a multicomponent Real Fluid Model (RFM)
Exploring complex pore structure in multi-scale porous materials by combining advanced NMR cryoporometry and NMR relaxometry
Towards a comprehensive understanding of reaction mechanisms of « Lytic polysaccharide monooxygénases » (LPMO) for an optimized hydrolysis of recalcitrant lignocellulose substrates
Porous inorganic microreactors for homogeneous two-phase catalysis: a mass transfer study for their implementation in fluidized beds
Surrogate-model-based Robust Multi-physics design optimization methods for electrical machines
Distributed modelling of hydrodynamics and flows at the various outlets of a Mediterranean karstic aquifer
Multiscale modeling of reaction-coupled transport of molecules in zeolite catalysts for alcohol dehydration
Molecular simulations of mechanisms involved in the recycling of heterogeneous catalysts
PhD students
IFPEN doctoral students benefit from a stimulating research environment, with state of the art laboratory equipment and computing resources.
All IFPEN doctoral students participate in seminars and training courses dedicated to them.
IFPEN has a competitive salary and social security policy.
