IFPEN meets its 2nd year PhD students: committed and enthusiastic, they tell us about their thesis path, and share their motivation to contribute to meeting the scientific challenges of energy, mobility and the environment.
Thanks to the testimonials of Lucas, Agatha, Ali, Nicolas and Noémie, many future doctoral candidates will want to join us!
#1 - Ali: "I'm working on plastics recycling, as part of a project initiated by IFPEN to address this global problem: I'm focusing on the phase of extracting the polymer so that it becomes a reusable raw material once again."
(video in French)
#2 - Agatha: "I study road chaos, how to manage it intelligently to reduce traffic jams and improve air quality."
(video in French)
#3 - Nicolas: "I'm working on modeling the vibrations of wind turbine blades when they're stationary, to reduce wear and tear and the risk of breakage."
(video in French)
#4 - Noémie : "I chose plastics recycling because I feel very involved in current affairs, climate change and the evolution of the environment; and it allows me to have a positive impact in the future."
(video in French)
#5 - Lucas : "In today's batteries, chain reactions can occur: we talk about thermal runaway, and I'm trying to understand this phenomenon and how it starts."
