My doctoral thesis is based on the partnership between the American company Convergent Science, Inc (CSI) and IFP Énergies Nouvelles for the development of the industrial code Converge CFD Software.

The simulation of combustion in gas turbines is complex due to the need to reliably account for interactions between phenomena such as turbulence, boundary layers, compressibility, combustion chemistry, the multi-species nature of gases, and the two-phase character (induced by the injection of liquid fuel). The consideration of all these phenomena gives rise to quite severe numerical instability issues. The integration of high-order schemes into solvers helps reduce numerical dissipation and dispersion, allowing for the use of coarser, less expensive meshes.
