Marvy GIRGIS

PhD Student | Characterization of Polymer Solubility Using Second Harmonic Generation

Passionate forensic chemist and toxicologist with a Master’s in Analytical Chemistry 🧪👨‍🔬 (Claude Bernard Lyon 1 & Tartu University). My expertise includes multidisciplinary science, forensic case-solving, and hands-on analytical techniques—GC-MS, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FT-IR, NMR, and more. I thrive on challenges that demand unorthodox, analytical thinking to crack complex problems.

Expanding my horizons, I’ve also stepped into data analysis 📊 (Google Certified) and love turning raw data into actionable insights. Proficient in SQL, R, Power BI, Tableau, and moreover, I’ve even published research on bitumen analysis modeling (PCR/PLS).

Now, I’m excited to start my next chapter: a PhD at IFPEN, where I’ll explore polymer solubility using Second Harmonic Generation (SHG)! Aiming to bridge my love for chemistry, problem-solving, and data with the new skills I will acquire during this exciting journey.
